چکیده
Abstract The spectral long-wave feedback parameter represents how Earth’s outgoing radiation adjusts to temperature changes and directly impacts climate sensitivity. Most research so far has focused on the integral of parameter. Spectrally resolving permits inferring information about vertical distribution feedbacks, thus gaining a better understanding underlying processes. However, investigations have been limited mostly model studies. Here we show that it is possible observe global mean all-sky using satellite observations seasonal interannual variability. We find bands subject strong water-vapour absorption exhibit substantial stabilizing net feedback. demonstrate part this caused by change relative humidity with warming, radiative fingerprints which can be observed. Therefore, our findings emphasize importance processes affecting present future trends in humidity. This observational constraint used evaluate representation feedbacks models constrain

Averaged control and observation of parameter-depending wave equations
We analyze the problem of averaged observability and control of wave equations. This topic is motivated by the control of parameter-dependent systems of wave equations. We look for controls ensuring the controllability of the averages of the states with respect to the parameter. This turns out to be equivalent to the problem of averaged observation in which one aims at recovering the energy of ...
متن کاملDirect observation of a "devil's staircase" in wave-particle interaction.
We report the experimental observation of a "devil's staircase" in a time-dependent system considered as a paradigm for the transition to large-scale chaos in the universality class of Hamiltonian systems. A test electron beam is used to observe its non-self-consistent interaction with externally excited wave(s) in a traveling wave tube (TWT). A trochoidal energy analyzer records the beam energ...
متن کاملA Spectral Gamut-Mapping Environment with Rendering Parameter Feedback
This paper proposes a prototypical environment for gamut mapping in spectral space. Images are rendered in terms of light and material parameters by a symbolic ray tracer, and the parameter ranges are adjusted, without re-rendering, to bring the image into the output device’s spectral gamut. There is a growing disparity between the high dynamic range images produced by spectral renderers and th...
متن کاملInetrio-gravity wave parameter estimation from cross-spectral analysis
We outline a method for extracting inertio-gravity wave parameters using the autospectra and cross spectra of the horizontal perturbation winds. In essence, we define a statistical hodograph for each spectral bin, thus combining the advantages of the rotary spectrum and hodograph methods. Furthermore, we include the effects of the background vertical shear in the parameter estimation equations,...
متن کاملBiomechanical parameter fingerprint in the mucosal wave power spectral density
The importance of mucosal wave detection and estimation has been stressed in literature regarding the automatic classification and recognition of larynx pathologies from voice records. Using a new estimation method of the mucosal wave correlate and simulation results from a 2-mass model of the vocal folds the present paper shows that the main fingerprints found in the power spectral density of ...
